Rep. Dick Gephardt "is emerging as a top candidate among labor unions as he tries to win support this week from the AFL-CIO national labor federation," the Washington Times reports. "Although the federation has not selected a single candidate, individual unions are announcing their preferences."
Gephardt "will receive his 10th major endorsement from organized labor Tuesday when the United Steelworkers of America announces its support," CNN reports.
However, the Boston Globe notes Sen. John Kerry plucked the support of Chicago Teamsters Local 705, even though the national Teamsters endorsed Gephardt last week.
