Stuart Rothenberg says Sen. Joe Lieberman "risks something much greater than defeat if he continues his Don Quixote-like Presidential bid. He risks looking increasingly pathetic, a politician who can't accept the obvious. Personally, that's not something I'm looking forward to."
His suggestion that he finished "in a virtual dead heat for third place - and that this gives him momentum - makes him look silly, even delusional."
Michael Barone notes "Lieberman said that he has enough money to go on to February 3. He pointedly did not say that he has enough money to go beyond. His dignified candidacy, leavened by his genuine good humor, does not seem likely to go beyond February 3."
Update: The Hartford Courant is following Lieberman and notes "there are no telltale signs that Lieberman feels he's doomed. There are no extra wrinkles, no slouched shoulders, no gossip about blowups at the staff."
