It's About Electability, Stupid

You won't find the word in the dictionary, but "electability" appears to be the main issue in the primaries. The Washington Post reports that exit polls found that "the belief that he can beat" President Bush "continued to be Sen. John Kerry's greatest attribute with the Democratic electorate."

In fact, USA Today notes that "more than three-fourths of voters in all the states said they'd be satisfied if Kerry won the nomination."

But the Los Angeles Times says the polls "also raised red flags" as Kerry "fared worse among voters who said their priority was a candidate who cared about people like them."
