Kinsley Joins Los Angeles Times

"Michael Kinsley, the founding editor of the online magazine Slate, was named editorial and opinion editor of the Los Angeles Times," the Los Angeles Times reports.

"One of the things I hope to do, of course, is make it more widely read on a national basis," Kinsley said, adding that he has a few ideas for how to accomplish that, but "I don't want to tip my hand."

Taegan D. Goddard is the creator of Political Wire, a political column updated around the clock with the most interesting news, buzz and commentary.
