Kerry Will Wait On Running Mate

When asked on Hannity and Colmes when he would name his running mate, Sen. John Kerry said, "Right before the convention. Just before it."

Meanwhile, an AP analysis notes that if the Democratic primary "was also a tryout for potential vice presidential picks, some candidates probably would be better off if they had never started their quixotic bids."

In particular, Wesley Clark's standing "is not helped by Kerry advisers' belief that the former general helped spread rumors that Kerry had had an affair with a young woman."

Update: Ryan Lizza tries to set the record straight saying Clark "did not spread any rumor about Kerry and a young woman."
