New Polls

A new National Public Radio poll shows the presidential race in a statisical dead heat, with Bush at 49% and Kerry at 48%. However, the poll also shows that Kerry leads Bush "among independents and voters in battleground states -- the states that were the closest in the 2000 election."

Here are the latest state polls:
  • Arizona: Bush 44%, Kerry 41% (Arizona Republic)
  • Rhode Island: Kerry 49%, Bush 25%, Nader 5% (Brown University)
