Kerry Will Announce Veep via Internet

In a bid to gather more email addresses for his campaign, several Political Wire sources tell us that Sen. John Kerry will announce his running mate decision first to all who sign up at his website.

Update: For what it's worth, I've been getting a lot of whispers in recent days that Kerry has settled on Rep. Dick Gephardt as his running mate. Some of the sources are fairly credible, but none of them are Kerry himself. So I guess we'll still have to wait.

Update II: "A Democratic official who has talked with Kerry told CNN the candidate has indeed made a decision and would announce it shortly."
