The Arizona Republic says Sen. John Kerry will have "a five-person team" that "hashes out the crucial ground rules of the televised presidential debates with counterparts in the Bush campaign."
On the team: Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano, Attorney Vernon Jordan, Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, Attorney Robert Barnett and Vice Presidential Search Head Jim Johnson.
"Kerry's debate team will probably meet with members from the Bush-Cheney campaign next month to hammer out the guidelines. The Bush campaign has not yet announced its debate negotiation team because the president hasn't formally accepted the debate schedule."
