Are the "60 Minutes" Memos Fake?

As we mentioned briefly yesterday, and the AP notes today, questions are being raised "about the authenticity of newly unearthed memos purporting to have been written by one of George Bush's Texas Air National Guard commanders in 1972 and 1973."

Once again, weblogs are doing the bulk of the questioning. Powerline has been leading the charge, with an assist from Instapundit. Matt Drudge says CBS News has launched an "internal investigation." Both Kevin Drum and Josh Marshall say sufficient questions have been raised that the network needs to provide more information.

Interestingly, Romenesko, the leading media blog, has yet to run anything on the controversy.
