Who Won?

A Democracy Corp survey, based on a "national representative panel," gave Dick Cheney the slight edge over Sen. John Edwards, 40% to 37%. However, Edwards had the edge with several key groups:
  • Among independents, Edwards won by 37% to 34%.
  • Among undecided voters, Edwards won by 43% to 25%.
  • Among battleground states, Edwards won by 40% to 38%.
A CBS News instant poll of uncommitted voters found that 41% think Edwards won the debate, versus 28% who said Cheney won.

An ABC News instant poll found 43% said Cheney won and 35% called it for Edwards. However, the poll also found more Republicans watched the debate, so the results may be skewed.

Meanwhile, Mystery Pollster analyzes the insta-polls.
