Campaigns Gird for Homestretch

The Wall Street Journal's Washington Wire notes President Bush's "aides from suburban Virginia headquarters are dispatched for field work in Iowa and Nevada, among other places. Bush operatives fret that New Hampshire, next door to Kerry's Massachusetts home base, will get a huge influx of Democratic operatives."

Meanwhile, a group of "Texas supporters for Bush will head for key states right before Election Day. But in Ohio, says Republican Rep. Rob Portman, 'we've never seen' the level of get-out-the-vote activity that liberal groups are mounting."
