Vilsack Drops DNC Bid

Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack (D) "withdrew his name today from the list of candidates for chairman of the Democratic National Committee," the Des Moines Register reports.

The AP notes a "possible factor in his decision was the likelihood that the party chairmanship would preclude any run for the Democratic presidential nomination."
