"At least eight people who died before the November election were credited with voting" in Washington state, "raising new questions about the integrity of the vote" in the gubernatorial race won by Christine Gregoire (D) by just 129 votes, a Seattle Post-Intelligencer investigation found.
Gregoire is set to take office on Wednesday and Republicans "are searching for ways to contest the election and force a revote."
However, the Seattle Times notes "voting by dead people isn't always a scam."
