Public Still Split on Bush

"The American public is deeply ambivalent about President Bush" and his approval rating is "lower than any recent two-term presidents," according to an AP poll. Forty-nine percent of the poll's respondants approved while 49% disapaproved. "Presidents Reagan and Clinton had job approval ratings near six in 10 just before their inauguration for a second term."
