Syndicated columnist Maggie Gallagher wrote favorably about President Bush's marriage initiative, but failed to disclose that she was paid $21,500 by the Department of Health and Human Services to promote the proposal, the Washington Post reports.
In her column, Gallgher agrees with the criticism: "I should have disclosed a government contract when I later wrote about the Bush marriage initiative. I would have, if I had remembered it."
Earlier this month, columnist Armstrong Williams admitted he was paid by the Department of Education. He ultimately lost his column.
