GOP Operative Accused of Theft

The chairman of the upcoming Young Republican National Convention in Las Vegas has been accused of embezzling $25,000 in registration fees to "pay off bar tabs, personal loans and credit card debts," according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Nathan Taylor, a student at UNLV, apparently turned the organizationís account into "his personal slush fund" to pay for his birthday party and other expenses.

For his part, Taylor claims the charges are part of the "politics of personal destruction."
