A new Marist College Poll takes an early look at the 2008 presidential campaign.
For the Democrats: Sen. Hillary Clinton leads the field with 39% of registered Democrats and Democratic leaning Independents. Her closest contenders are Sen. John Kerry with 21% and former Sen. John Edwards with 15%.
For the Republicans: Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani receives the support nationwide of 25% of Republicans and Republican leaning Independents, and Sen. John McCain has 21%. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice follows with 14%, and Florida Governor Jeb Bush receives 7%.
