Senate Trivia

With Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) contemplating a Senate bid, it's worth noting he would only be the second U.S. Senator to serve with his father. The first father-son pair was Sen. Augustus Dodge (D-IA) and Sen. Henry Dodge (D-WI) who were each elected in 1848.

Meanwhile, the AP says the Rhode Island Senate race would be a "battle of the dynasties" itself: "Kennedy versus Chafee. The son of a Democratic icon against the son of a revered Republican senator and governor in the nation's smallest state."
