Feingold Plans Divorce

Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI), "viewed as a possible candidate for president in 2008, said Monday that he is getting a divorce," the Wisconsin State Journal reports.

Political scientist Larry Sabato thinks it ends his 2008 White House hopes: "The Democratic Party is much more tolerant of things, but a twice-divorced single man would have very little chance of being elected president. That is not something that would appeal to any red state."
