Ed Cox, son-in-law of former President Richard Nixon, "appears ready to re-emerge" three decades after disappearing from public life with "a long-shot challenge to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton next year." The New York Observer points out that this plan would "catapult him back into Presidential politics against a woman who began her political career as a staffer to the Senate committee investigating Watergate."
Cox hasnít yet announced his candidacy, but he is "one of a small number of would-be candidates who has actually taken some steps toward launching a campaign."
