Card Speculation Grows

White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card visited Massachusetts yesterday "with celebrity status among lawmakers, stirring speculation that he may be exploring a GOP run for governor in 2006," the Boston Herald reports.

Card noted that he's been at President Bush's side for five years in a job where the average tenure is 22 months. "I've overstayed my welcome by many, many, many months," he joked.
