Ford Files for Senate Bid

Rep. Harold Ford, Jr. (D-TN), filed the paperwork to seek the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Tennessee, the AP reports.

An internal poll last month that showed Ford "losing to or barely breaking even" with his likely opponents made many analysts think Ford would not run.
