Romney Downplays Possible White House Bid

"Three days after confirming that he is testing the presidential waters," Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) said that people are "hyperventilating over the subject of his political future," the Boston Globe reports.

"Other governors have conceded that they are weighing a presidential bid, but get scant, if any media coverage, Romney said."

Meanwhile, the Lowell Sun says many Massachusetts Republicans "selfishly hope" Romney "seeks a second term as governor instead of embarking on a campaign for president."
