Bayh's Fundraising Off to a Good Start

Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN) "is among the most prolific money raisers in the early jockeying among potential 2008 presidential candidates," the Indianapolis Star reports. "Bayh raised $1.17 million this year through a fundraising arm that will help him raise his profile and build a campaign team, according to recent disclosure reports."

Meanwhile, another Indianapolis Star piece notes Bayh is "completing the one-two punch of presidential politics, spending three days in Iowa just three weeks after a campaign-style visit to New Hampshire."
