Forrester Closing in on Corzine

A new Quinnipiac poll finds Doug Forrester (R) closing the gap with Sen. Jon Corzine (D-NJ) in the race for Governor of New Jersey and now trails 48% to 44% among likely voters. Corzine had a 10 point lead in the previous poll.

Said the poll director: "Doug Forrester has turned this election into a horse race because voters - men in particular - narrowly believe he can better solve the two hottest issues in the campaign - corruption and property taxes."

Meanwhile, a Monmouth University/Gannett poll has Corzine leading Forrester by eight points, 46% to 38%. This matches a poll we noted yesterday.
