Golisano Registers as Republican

Billionaire businessman Thomas Golisano, who has ran for governor in New York three times as an Independent, will ìswitch his party affiliation to Republican today in an effort to gain major party support in another run for governor next year,î reports the New York Sun. Republican leaders in New York have ìwarmed to Mr. Golisano out of concerns about a Democratic romp in the 2006 elections.î
