Pawlenty Sticks with Bush

As President Bush's approval ratings "have plummeted precipitously and economic warning lights flicker," one might think it an unwise strategy to stick too close to the White House if you're a Republican up for re-election. But Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) sees it differently, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Says the first term governor: "I'd stand with President Bush if his approval rating was 2 percent. I won't abandon my leader just because times are tough."
