Indictment Watch Update

Though the grand jury is meeting today, special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald "is not expected to make any public announcements" on possible indictments, CNN reports. Previous reports indicated a press conference would come Thursday.

However, Raw Story reports Fitzgerald asked the grand jury to indict Karl Rove and Scooter Libby "on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice" and to additionally charge Libby on a second charge: "knowingly outing a covert operative."

Update: The grand jury adjourned for the day without announcing any action, according to the AP.

Update II: Richard Sale: "An hour ago I was contacted by a U.S. government official close to the Fitzgerald case. This person told me that there WILL be indictments announced later this afternoon, and the Special Prosecutor will hold a press conference tomorrow."
