GOP Leader Says Pirro Should Drop Out

New York State Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno (R) said that Jeanine Pirro (R) should "reconsider" her 2006 challenge to Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and instead run for attorney general, according to the Albany Times Union.

Pirroís Senate campaign has ìfailed to pick up steam despite the fact that her closest competitor for the GOP line, Manhattan attorney Edward Cox, left the race in October. Pirro is lagging far behind Clinton in fund-raising, with only $363,920 on hand, according to the most recent filing with the Federal Election Commission, compared to the senator's $13.8 million.î
