Lieberman Urges Bipartisan "War Cabinet"

Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT) urged President Bush to form a bi-partisan ìwar cabinet,î consisting of White House officials and congressional leaders, that would ìmeet weekly and discuss conditions in Iraq, and perhaps recommend policy,î reports the Hartford Courant. The proposal is intended to ìtake some of the political edge off the war debate,î and is ìmodeled after similar panels during the Vietnam War and World War II.î
