Clinton Settles Fundraising Complaint

Sen. Hillary Clintonís (D-NY) fundraising committee from 2000 has reached a settlement with the Federal Election Commission concerning $700,000 in donations given during a celebrity gala in California, the New York Sun reports. Clintonís committee will pay $35,000, thus ending the ìinquiry into a complaint filed in 2001 by an entrepreneur who financed the fund-raising concert, Peter Paul.î
