Poll Finds Trouble for DeLay

Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX) is facing an uphill battle to keep his Congressional seat, according to a new poll by the Houston Chronicle. Only half of those who voted for DeLay in 2004 are likely to do so again.

Key finding: About 25% of past DeLay supporters are still undecided, and 20% have chosen other candidates.

DeLay faces a four-way primary on March 7, and the winner will likely face Democrat and former Rep Nick Lampson.
