Most Think Hayworth is Lying About Abramoff

In an indication of the spreading political impact of the Jack Abramoff scandal, 62% of Rep. J.D. Hayworth's (R-AZ) constituents believe he "is not telling the truth" when he says he received only a $2,250 campaign contribution from Abramoff, according to a KPNX-TV/Survey USA Poll. A stunning 67% believe Hayworth's involvement with Abramoff will "affect his re-election campaign."

Hayworth easily won his district in 2004 with 60% of the vote.
