In Alabamaís Democratic primary for governor, a Survey USA poll finds Lt. Gov. Lucy Baxley neck-and-neck with former Gov. Don Siegelman, with each candidate receiving 43% of the vote.
What makes the findings more surprising is that Siegelman is currently on trial on federal corruption charges. NPR follows the former governor on his campaign bus, where he says "Weíre out of trial and on the trail."
Meanwhile, on the Republican side, Gov. Bob Riley crushes former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, 64% to 33%.
