In new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, 51% of Democrats "express highest possible level of interest in the elections, compared with 43% of Republicans. Democratic edge on that harbinger of motivation to vote is up slightly from 51% to 46% edge in early September."
However, senior citizens back Democrats to control Congress by 48% to 43% -- smaller than partyís overall edge among all voters. An earlier survey suggested seniors could be the key to victory in November.
