Bush Says No Slight Intended

In an interview with National Public Radio, President Bush said that referring to the "Democrat majority" instead of "Democratic majority" during his State of the Union address "was an oversight" though he frequently uses this same formulation in speeches around the country.

The Washington Post quotes a spokesman for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: "We certainly take the president at his word."
