Rumors are swirling that New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D) may soon drop his presidential bid to run for U.S. Senate after the news of Sen. Pete Domenici's (R-NM) retirement.

Update: The Politico reports Richardsonís presidential campaign "quashed speculation" he would run for Senate.
