Huckabee Jumps Ahead in Georgia

Political Wire got an advance look at a new Strategic Vision poll in Georgia that shows Mike Huckabee leading the GOP presidential race with 23%, followed by Fred Thompson at 20%, Rudy Giuliani at 17%, Sen. John McCain at 11%, and Mitt Romney at 10%.

Key finding: Thompson has lost 19% since October, while Huckabee gained 18%.

On the Democratic side the poll shows Sen. Hillary Clinton leading with 34%, followed by Sen. Barack Obama at 27% and John Edwards at 12%.
