A new SurveyUSA poll now shows Rudy Giuliani in a tight fight with Sen. John McCain for Republican primary voters in his home state of New York. Giuliani edges McCain, 32% to 29%, and Mike Huckabee is third at 12%.
The survey's margin of sampling error is 4.6%, making the race a statistical tie.
Key findings: McCain leads by 4 points upstate. Giuliani leads by 17 points among voters voters age 49 and younger. McCain leads by 12 among voters age 50+. McCain leads by 9 among Moderates. Giuliani leads by 6 among Conservatives.
Among Democrats, a SurveyUSA poll finds Sen. Hillary Clinton way ahead of her rivals with 56% support, followed by Sen. Barack Obama at 29% and John Edwards at 8%.
