Based on his projected victory in Texas, Sen. John McCain has clinched the Republican nomination by gaining more than the 1,191 delegates needed.

Reports indicate Mike Huckabee will drop out of the race and endorse McCain.

Update: Marc Ambinder reports Sen. Barack Obama called McCain to congratulate him.
