Marc Ambinder: "Demoted Hillary Clinton
strategist Mark Penn may no longer have the coveted title of chief
strategist, but he remains a key member of the campaign's senior staff.
Indeed, it is not clear precisely what Mr. Penn's demotion entails,
other than a public rebuke."
Said one campaign official: "Penn is still going to be very much involved."
However, Ben Smith says "my sources over there tell me that there's an accompanying power shift:
Penn was the single most powerful player on the campaign, with the last
word on key decisions, and isn't any longer; he's just one of many on
the calls."
