Did Clinton Loan Campaign More Money?

Ever since Sen. Hillary Clinton claimed to have raised $10 million in the 24 hours after her Pennsylvania primary victory, there's been surprisingly little information about how much money the candidates raised in the month of April.

However, the buzz this morning is that Clinton loaned her campaign additional funds to compete in North Carolina and Indiana and that the campaign is now seriously in debt.

With Clinton's ability to raise additional funds hurt by last night's showing, money may be the deciding factor in finally ending her bid. Tim Russert even suggested this morning that Sen. Barack Obama may offer to retire her campaign debt as part of an exit deal.

Update: The Associated Press reports Clinton loaned her campaign $6.4 million in the last month.
