Newsweek Poll: Presidential Race Very Close

A new Newsweek poll shows Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain tied among voters nationally, 46% to 46%.

Sen. Hillary Clinton fares slightly better against McCain, 48% to 44%, though this is within the survey's margin of error.

Key finding: Obama trails McCain, 40% to 52%, among white voters. Clinton also trails McCain among white voters but by a smaller margin, 44% to 48%.
