The Republican National Convention resumes tonight, but GOP officials and strategists for Sen. John McCain "acknowledged that the storm-shortened first day of the convention had cost them a valuable chance to present their case for Mr. McCain to voters, and they were racing to recoup on Tuesday, and encouraging the television networks to air more of the proceedings than planned," according to the New York Times.
President Bush is now scheduled to speak via video from the White House at 9:30 p.m. It will be interesting to see if the major television networks breakaway for his speech.
