Geithner Gets Unlikely Supporter

When ABC News surveyed Democratic senators on whether they shared President Obama's "complete confidence" in Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, fewer than half were willing to echo the president.

Of the 58 senators in the caucus -- 56 Democrats and two independents -- 21 answered "yes" when asked whether they have "complete confidence" in Geithner.

Interestingly, the Financial Times reports Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) is the first Republican senator to speak up in Geithner's defense amid growing calls for his resignation.
