Judge Throws Out Stevens Charges

A federal judge dismissed charges against former Sen. Ted Stevens (R-AK) because of prosecutorial misconduct and ordered a criminal contempt investigaton into the prosecutors, the AP reports.

Said Judge Emmet Sullivan: "In nearly 25 years on the bench, I've never seen anything approaching the mishandling and misconduct that I've seen in this case."
