Sessions Was Blocked by Judiciary Commitee in 1986

Here's an interesting fact about Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), the new ranking member of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee: His own nomination by President Reagan in 1986 to become a federal judge was killed in the same committee when Democrats accused him of "gross insensitivity" on racial issues.

It will be interesting to watch him handle President Obama's first nomination for the Supreme Court.
