Davis Persuaded McCain to Pick Palin

Sen. John McCain's top campaign aide, Rick Davis, was the man responsible for Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin becoming McCain's running mate, the Washington Times reports.

Said a GOP source: "It was all his doing. He was completely snowed by Palin. He was totally taken by her."

Otherwise, according to the source, Mr. McCain "wanted Lieberman all along."
