Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) "is continuing to put the pieces together for a primary campaign" against Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), "entering into serious talks with, among others, veteran campaign strategist Joe Trippi and Penn Schoen and Berland Associates to do her polling," reports City Hall.
"According to one person who spoke with her about Trippi over the weekend, Maloney was speaking about Trippi as if he had already been hired, noting that he had already offered her the advice of waiting until after July 4th to announce her candidacy, instead of by the end of the month, as had been the plan."
