A new New York Times/Cornell/NY1 poll finds seven in ten New Yorkers believe New York Gov. David Paterson (D) does not deserve to be elected in 2010.
In addition, voters "have also taken a personal dislike to Mr. Paterson, who now is less popular in the state than his predecessor, Eliot Spitzer, who resigned in disgrace after being identified as the client of a prostitution ring. Only 21% of New York voters say they have a favorable view of Mr. Paterson."
